Genesis Jazz Orchestra
The Genesis Jazz Orchestra is the twin cities’ hottest new 17-piece big band, led by saxophonist/educator Conrad Miska. Drawing musicians from the southeast metro, they play a mix of contemporary jazz and freshened standards by Gordon Goodwin, Mike Tomaro, Matt Harris, Tom Kubis, Jeff Jarvis, and others

Eleven out of 17 members of GJO have music degrees, and many of them are current or former music instructors. Many of the members are professional performing musicians in multiple bands and multiple genres. Genesis Jazz Orchestra has become somewhat of a regular performer at Jazz Central Studios in Minneapolis. Their next appearance there is on April 30.
